As @ellenlikesbikes has taught us: we wear red ruffle-y dresses to holiday parties even though we may feel like we are hulking out of them. Because we actually aren’t: we look dang good and have the best time with our fellow goobers (see pic 2) and are still able to enjoy being our best selves (pics 3 & 4 #snacclyfe) #bathroomselfieforthewin #besties #workparty #tistheseasonThese three amigos helped me return to road cycling today after a break of I don’t know how long. Hills are hard, biking is humbling, rides with friends are fun! #youmeetthenicestpeopleonabike #livforward #steedgreenmachine #westcoastbestcoast #winterridingComing home with a full heart, a rejuvenated soul, a bunch of new memories and another handful of friends from around the world. #youbetterbelizeitWhen it started raining in September I booked a flight somewhere sunny. The weather improved but life didn’t. I’ve trained three temps and covered unforeseen absences at work, our family cat had to be put down, a minor accident wrote off my car, and someone stole my bike. I’ll check in when I’m good and ready to face the world again. ✌🏻🚨 🚨 STOLEN BIKE ALERT 🚨 🚨 2017 Liv Brava SLR Size S From 11th and Pine between Friday night and Sunday morning. White Bontrager saddle. Please share and repost!!!Yesterday was my first swim meet in a year. It didn’t go according to plan, but luckily, my plan is pretty flexible these days! Super consistent splits on my two distance events means my pacing is really good, a two second PB on my favourite event means all the biking paid off, and 8m’ish underwater in backstroke means that noseclips work like a charm! 😆 We can discuss the dive where my goggles filled with water over a beer 😉 So happy and thankful to spend the day with my swim family 🥰 🙏🏻 📷 @bananna_marz for capturing this moment before the 800 at the end of a long day #swimmeet #mastersswimmer #mastersswimming #swim #swimclub #swimfamily #longcourse #tri #triathlon #tritraining #triathlontraining #ironman #ironmanhereicome #consistency #training #allfortheswimArchives

Worlds in Budapest: getting settled
The last few days have been a bit of a blur with packing, finishing up work, the joys of international travel (helpful hint: don’t fly Air Canada Rouge, unless you too consider a singular piece of loaf a ‘continental breakfast!), … Continue reading

Green sky, pink dawn
I am back in Europe, in Frankfurt to be exact. It’s been 15 years since I’ve been here, and really, that time didn’t count, since I never left the airport. This time, however, will be a different story. At some … Continue reading
