One week left!

Taking a quick look back at my blog for the last couple of months, I am astounded to see how little I have posted!!  I try to keep a record here of all the amazing things that I get to be a part of, but it seems that there have been too many amazing things and not enough time!  In a week I will be leaving Amorgos, the most wonderful island I’ve had yet to visit, and while this summer has been exhausting, it has also been exhilarating.  I’ve had so many incredible experiences here, no doubt due to the fantastic Amorgian spirit that runs deep and clear through everything the locals do.  I am so sad to have to leave, but know that I will have a place to visit or work again in the future.

For now, I will have to enjoy every second of my last week here.  Every second underwater; every second in the best village (‘my’ village), Lagkada; every drop of ouzo and krasi; every second spent with friends; every second of every meal; every note of local music; every step of dance; and even every second spent in the dive shop (ugh) . . . my next adventure is in a new land, in a new part of the world that I’ve never been to before: Salalah, Oman.  While I’m excited to see what this new place has in store for me, I can’t help but already be sad to leave such a welcoming and friendly place such as Amorgos.

I’ll post more soon, but for now, I’m off to enjoy!
